George was still curious about what Yurina had hanging around her neck. Not getting an answer, he decided to find out for himself. He suddenly pointed behind her, "Sister, look, someone's coming over there!" Yurina turned her head, and George seized the opportunity to lift the cloth in front of her neck. "Ah!" he screamed, seeing a human head. "You killed someone?"
"No, it's a robot face," Yurina quickly explained.
She patted the head twice. "Bark like a dog a couple of times."
"Woof, woof, woof!" Daechir had no choice but to change her voice and bark a few times, mimicking it perfectly. "That's so cool! Can I hold it?" George asked.
Yurina hesitated for a moment but handed it over. George happily took it, held it in both hands, and asked, "What's your name?" Daechir opened her eyes and replied in a robotic voice, "My name is Daechir."
"Why is it just a head? Where's your body?"
Daechir didn't know how to answer and simply closed her mouth. Seeing her silence, George thought she had run out of power and turned the head over, looking for a place to insert batteries. Seeing his determined probing, Yurina quickly snatched it back.
"Brother, did you break her thing?" the little girl asked. "I just asked a question. How could I break it?"
The group continued along the beach. After about ten minutes, a village appeared on the shore in the distance, with a dozen fishing boats anchored on the water. Yurina stopped. She noticed many people in front of the village. "Sister, why did you stop?" the little girl asked. "Thank you both. I have something to do and must leave now." With that, she immediately turned and walked back. The George siblings looked at each other, not knowing what had just happened.
Yurina returned to the car, drove it to a secluded spot, and planned to act after nightfall. As night descended, moonlight scattered across the sea, and waves crashed against the reefs with a drum-like roar. Yurina chose a medium-sized fishing boat. She first untied the anchor, made her way across the deck to the cockpit, and looked at the various gauges and buttons. She was at a loss and looked down to ask, "Do you know how to operate this?"
"Take me out, hold me up higher, let me see." Daechir was eager to prove her worth. Under her guidance, the boat finally started moving. Yurina, being too short, had to stand on a chair to operate it. After a short while, she heard a "woof!" and turned to see a fierce dog, half her height, in the cockpit. It turned out the dog was there to guard the boat. It had been fast asleep and was only awakened when the boat started moving. Yurina had no weapon, but the dog slowly began to approach. This was her second fight with a dog, and this one was even bigger and more ferocious than the last. "What's happening?" Daechir's voice came from her neck.
"There's a very vicious dog."
"What do we do?" Before Yurina could reply, the large dog lunged with bared fangs. In a panic, she pulled out the head and threw it. It hit the dog's leg, causing it to stumble and stagger five or six steps forward. Its head slammed into the opposite wall with a thud. The thrown Daechir roared, "Yurina, what are you doing?"
"Don't you have a mouth too? You should go bite it." The dog staggered to its feet and turned towards the head. Daechir's scalp went numb with fear. If it bit her, her face would be ruined. Although she wouldn't die, she would be too ashamed to face anyone. "Help me!" she shrieked.
Yurina got down from the chair, propped herself on one hand, and advanced with the knife in the other. "Woof! Woof!" The dog sensed danger and turned to bark furiously at her. Just then, shouting was heard in the distance. "Oh no, someone's coming! Start the boat, quick!" Daechir yelled urgently.
The boat was currently stopped. Yurina couldn't deal with the dog quickly, so she had to turn back and start the boat. The dog continued to approach Daechir. A moment later, terrifying screams and tearing sounds filled the boat. Even the iron-willed Yurina's heart pounded with fear at the sound. "Daechir, hold on a little longer! I will avenge you!"
Daechir's beautiful face was now a bloody, mangled mess, her hair almost completely torn out, and she cried out in agony. The core device in her brain was an intelligence chip, protected by four sides of alloy glass in the center of her head. As the dog lowered its head to tear at her, Daechir seized the opportunity and bit down on its ear. The dog shook its head desperately, trying to fling her off, but she held on tight, refusing to let go. The enraged dog slammed the head against the wall. The two remained locked in this stalemate. Yurina drove the boat a long way before stopping. She pulled out her knife and walked towards the dog. Daechir was still biting its ear. The dog was exhausted and was quickly stabbed to death by Yurina. A while later, the sound of sobbing filled the boat. Yurina comforted her, "Anyway, there's no one else on this boat. No one will see how ugly you are."
Daechir had lost an eye, and her nose was just a hole, making her look terrifying. "Why am I so miserable?"
"At least you're still alive. There's still hope of standing up again."
"No, I lied to you. In my current state, I can't do anything either. Only Father can rebuild a body."
"You mean Ronnie?"
"Yes!"
"Why did you lie to me?" Yurina asked angrily.
"If I hadn't lied, would you have brought me here?"
"Then why are you telling me now?"
"Because looking like this, I no longer have the courage to live."
"You want me to kill you?"
"Do whatever you want! Although you can't be like you were before, I can still make you stand up."
Yurina sneered, "Looks like you still don't want to die!" The next moment, she asked again, "What method will you use to make me stand up?"
"I've made three robots. Although they can't compare to us, they were still successful."
"It seems we need to find Ronnie."
"I've calculated. In this era, Father has already been born. He should be around nine years old now. In another ten years, we can go find him."
"Alright, I want to see him again too." With a goal, their spirits lifted.
Yurina found a red cloth and wrapped the upper part of Daechir's face, leaving only her mouth exposed. The boat moved away from the coastline, heading straight west. A week later, its speed slowed down; the fuel was nearly gone. As dusk approached, the boat came to a complete stop, more than two thousand nautical miles from the nearest land. The two were at a loss and began to blame each other. Their anger escalated into a full-blown argument. Enraged, Yurina picked up Daechir and threw her out. With a splash, the head fell into the sea. Just as Daechir was about to scream in anger, seawater filled her mouth, and her head immediately began to sink. Just then, an Australian tiger shark swam by and swallowed the head in one gulp. Only after her anger subsided did Yurina think of retrieving her, but it was impossible to find her. She couldn't help but feel a pang of regret. Without Daechir, it would be impossible for her to stand up anytime soon. Yurina stood blankly by the side of the boat, not knowing what to do next. Due to a moment of anger, the two were separated once again.
