The two didn't dare to show themselves until late the next night. The campers had indeed left. Yurina walked ahead by the moonlight. The road was rough and uneven; they stumbled along, taking over an hour to reach a nearby town as the sky gradually brightened. This time, the two were well-prepared, bringing plenty of gold coins and the remaining ten energy spheres. They first got a Nine-Star Card, then exchanged all the gold coins for one hundred and thirty thousand Star Coins, which they deposited into the card. The destination was over a thousand kilometers away, so they bought a car, a type of anti-gravity vehicle that hovered about forty centimeters off the ground and could seat four people. This vehicle was called a "Sky Express." At this moment, the car was traveling on a highway. "It's great to be rich!" Yurina laughed from the front left seat.
Daechir sat on the right. Due to her short stature, only the top half of her head was visible. She didn't respond to the comment. "Are you just going to stay silent forever? There are no outsiders here, who's going to laugh at you?"
After a long pause, Daechir replied in a low voice, "Can't you just be quiet for a while? Do you have to make me use this terrible voice?"
"Qiqi, what year did Ronnie tell you to find him in?"
"This very year. It's as if all of this was arranged."
As the two talked, more than five hours passed unknowingly. They finally reached their destination. After parking the car, they got out and immediately began searching for the entrance. Unfortunately, they searched all afternoon to no avail. Just as they were at a loss, a tall man approached from not far away. He had a commanding presence, his hands clenched into large fists that looked like boxing gloves. He carried a sharp sword on his back and was dressed like a knight. Daechir praised him silently in her heart, "What a handsome man!"
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" the man asked.
"And who are you?" Yurina retorted.
"I am 'Kartikeya', the guardian of the Wolf's Lair."
Daechir exclaimed with joy, "Does that mean the 'Wolf's Lair' is nearby? Take me to see Father quickly!"
Kartikeya turned and looked the small figure up and down. "You're a robot too?"
"I've been modified. This wasn't my original body," Daechir explained hastily, afraid of embarrassing herself in front of the handsome man. "Is the Father you're talking about Ronnie?"
"Of course! Who else could create such a perfect robot like me?" Yurina answered first.
"Alright! Follow me." Kartikeya said and led the way, with Daechir and Yurina following behind. The Eagle's Nest of the past had been built based on the layout of the Wolf's Lair, so the two were not very different. After walking down a long flight of stairs, an iron door appeared before them with the words "Wolf's Lair" written on it. Pushing the door open, the lights overhead automatically turned on, instantly illuminating the entire passage. This passage was over two hundred meters long and more than three meters wide, with eight intersections leading to different areas. The areas were marked with numbers 1-8, but only zones 3 and 8 were active areas; the others were all traps. If any outsiders invaded and entered these zones, only death awaited them. The group entered Zone 3. After walking about ten meters, there was another door. Inside was a square hall of over a hundred square meters, with six small doors on the other three walls, marked by the number of wolf heads. What surprised Yurina and Daechir the most was that there were over a dozen warriors in knightly attire standing there. Kartikeya pointed at them and said, "These are the great Ullian warriors, responsible for security here."
Daechir was secretly alarmed. Each of the warriors standing before her was far more powerful than she was. In the old days, any one of them could have wiped out an entire army. What she didn't know was that there were a total of six hundred Ullian warriors, stationed at various important locations throughout the Wolf's Lair. From their conversation with Kartikeya, the two learned that Ronnie was not here at the moment, so they could only wait patiently. As the days went by, Daechir found herself falling in love with Kartikeya and began to dislike her own body. She decided to change back into a head. "Qiqi, have you gone mad? If you want to give the body back, you should at least wait for Ronnie to return," Yurina advised.
Daechir was stubborn and still asked Kartikeya to remove the chip from the body and put it back into her original head. Her sweet voice returned, and she was very happy, feeling she had made the right choice. At the same time, Ronnie, traveling in his time machine, returned to this era from the past. He was critically poisoned and near death. After making the time call, he was on his way to the Wolf's Lair. Kartikeya received the news in advance and hurried with his team to greet him, finally finding the dying Ronnie in a barren field two kilometers from the Wolf's Lair. The Ullian warriors carried their master back to the lair. When Yurina saw him, she cried with joy. "What happened to Father?" the head asked with a worried face.
Kartikeya didn't answer directly, but said, "According to the General's orders, I must store his consciousness."
Daechir was secretly glad that she had brought the vessel this time. Two days later, a small figure in a brand-new knight's uniform stood before them. He wore a bronze mask on his face and kept looking at his own body, muttering to himself. "Is your name Ronnie?" Yurina couldn't help but ask.
The little man nodded, then shook his head. "I don't know either!" His voice was normal, not at all robotic, like that of a child.
"Do you know what this place is?" this time it was Daechir who asked. The little man continued to shake his head. "What's going on? Could it be that the General's consciousness wasn't stored?"
"Let's wait. He'll slowly remember in a few days. Father needs to get used to this new body."
The three had no choice but to wait patiently. Another week passed. They noticed the little man had been sneaking out late at night for several days in a row. This greatly aroused their curiosity, and they decided to follow him to find out what was going on. The little man left the Wolf's Lair like a rabbit, running at great speed towards the north. There was no moonlight tonight, and it was pitch black all around. Yurina, with the head hanging on her chest, followed closely behind Kartikeya. She wondered to herself, "Can he see?" and couldn't help but ask, "Big guy, do you have night vision?"
"You don't?" Kartikeya stopped, turned his head, and asked back. To make Yurina more human-like, Ronnie had not implanted her with night vision. "Stop chatting and hurry up!" the head shouted.
While the two were talking, the little man had already disappeared. Kartikeya was confident. "It's fine, I know where he went. He probably ran into the village."
When they reached the entrance of the village, they heard dogs barking and a commotion from afar. They saw the little man running ahead with a chicken in his arms, followed by a dozen villagers wielding various farm tools, cursing non-stop.
