Kartikeya leaped forward, blocking the path of the charging villagers. Two hot-tempered, burly men raised their farm tools and brought them down on his head. Bang! The tools bounced back, and the two men staggered backward and fell. Seeing this, the others swarmed forward, surrounding Kartikeya. Yurina stood at the village entrance, her hand outstretched to stop the frantically running little man. Just as she was about to speak, he charged straight at her. With a clang, the two collided heavily, but luckily, neither fell. Her face filled with anger, she asked huffily, "What are you doing with a hen?"
"I'm hungry!"
"Didn't I give you an energy sphere?"
"Are you feeding a bird? It has no taste at all. I never want to eat that again," the little man complained. Ever since Ronnie's consciousness entered the little man's body, Yurina no longer had the same affection for him; she even found him a bit annoying. Now, seeing him holding a filthy hen, she was even more disgusted. The head,一心 on recovering her own body, was very concerned about the little man's memories. She spoke up, "Father, do you still remember me? I'm Daechir." Unfortunately, the little man didn't answer and instead darted away.
"Quick, after him!" the head shouted urgently. "It's too dark, I can't see clearly. Let's wait for the big guy to come over." On the other side, the dozen or so villagers were no match for Kartikeya. In a few moves, they were all knocked to the ground. This was him holding back, not using his full strength. After dealing with them, he and Yurina gave chase. Twenty minutes later, a cave appeared ahead, brightly lit from within. Yurina's curiosity grew. She asked, "How did you know he was here?"
"For the General's safety, I secretly placed a tracker on him." The two entered the cave. The little man was scattering feed for a dozen chickens in a pen. A smile was on his face, and he was muttering to himself. Yurina burst out laughing. "I thought you stole the chicken to eat it, but it turns out you're raising them."
"I want to eat eggs." As the little man said this, he licked his lips, almost drooling. "You love eggs that much?"
"Eggs are rich in protein, fat, cholesterol, and other micronutrients. The yolk also contains trace elements and minerals like calcium, iron, and phosphorus. You can also make steamed egg custard, egg drop soup, poached eggs, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, egg dumplings, mille-feuille rolls, and crab-flavored eggs." The little man listed off all the information about eggs as if presenting family treasures. Yurina clutched her stomach, laughing until she was out of breath, pointing at him and saying, "So you're a foodie!"
Daechir, however, felt miserable. She felt this little man was a bit crazy. How could such a person be the Ronnie she knew? She couldn't help but ask again, "Do you really not recognize me?"
The little man looked the head up and down. "My name is Ronnie, but I don't know you. I only remember my sister, Alice."
"General, what about me?" Kartikeya stepped forward upon hearing this and asked.
"I don't know," the little man said, shaking his head.
To ensure his master's safety, Kartikeya called for twelve Ullian warriors to guard both sides of the cave entrance. The little man spent his days busy raising chickens and eating eggs. Daechir gave up hope and decided to become self-reliant, starting by getting herself a body to move around in. Over a month passed. With the help of Yurina and Kartikeya, she finally had a body, though her appearance was completely different from before. She had a short crew cut, a powdered face, and wore a purple top with white denim shorts. Except for her face, the rest of her body was all metal, no longer smooth, white human skin. "Yurina, why did you turn me into an androgynous monster?"
"Qiqi, you're so ungrateful. You were just a head before. You're much better off now."
Yurina was secretly pleased. "Now you're not as pretty as me, you tomboy."
In the northern South African city of Tshwane, a man and a woman walked the streets of the "Burano" town. The woman stopped and said to the bald man beside her, "Three hundred years, we're finally back here. It really brings back memories."
"Alena, should we go see our old home?"
"Brother, it's been so long. The house is probably gone."
The two speaking were the De Silva siblings who had left You City. This time, they had withdrawn from the city-state and returned to their small town, hoping to retrieve past memories. Unfortunately, things had changed, and the people of their time were all lost in the river of time. The two came to the outskirts of the town and stood by the lake. Looking out, they saw their old house, now a farm, behind a fence about twenty meters away. "Brother, should we buy it? And then build a house on it." De Silva thought for a moment and shook his head. "I'd love to, but we don't have that many Star Coins."
"You forgot there's a place with a large amount of gold hidden."
"You mean Eagle's Nest?"
"Yes, that's the place!" Alena nodded.
"After all these years, who knows if the cave even exists?"
"We have nothing to do anyway. Let's just go and see. We happen to be in Africa." The siblings immediately set off for the airport. A little over two hours later, the plane landed slowly. They hailed a taxi and headed straight for Eagle's Nest. Four days passed. They encountered the same problem as Daechir: all the familiar passages were inaccessible. The two had no choice but to stay in a nearby town, planning to look around for two more days before leaving. In the evening, as they were about to return to their hotel, De Silva saw a suspicious figure from a distance. "Alena, look, doesn't that little guy look like Ares?"
"Ares?" Alena had long forgotten the name.
"Afastin's son," De Silva explained.
"He does look a bit like him, but it's unlikely, right? No one can live that long without the regeneration fluid."
"I'll go take a look!" De Silva said and walked forward. He tapped the figure on the shoulder. The little man turned his face. Who could it be but Ares? "You're still alive?" De Silva cried out in shock.
"De Silva, you're here," the little man said, equally surprised.
"How has your voice changed? And your mask is a little different from before."
The little man laughed loudly. "Because I'm Ronnie, not Ares. De Silva, you tried to poison me, but I've been resurrected. This time, you won't escape." As soon as he finished speaking, with two hissing sounds, the little man suddenly opened his mouth and spat a torrent of flames. A blood-curdling scream of "Ah!" was heard as De Silva clutched his head and rolled on the ground, his whole body instantly engulfed in flames. Seeing her brother's tragic state, Alena ran over, shouting, "Help! Help!"
Many people gathered to watch, but perhaps because the fire was too intense, no one stepped forward to help. In a short while, the screaming stopped abruptly. Alena rushed at Ronnie like a madwoman. "Why did you kill him? Why?"
Ronnie, in his new body, had undergone a complete personality change. He was no longer the kind and upright man he used to be. He swung his fist hard at her face, shouting, "Get lost, you disgusting old hag."
