Rick took out two hundred shillings from his pocket, "Take this money and go!"

"Go? Where to?"

"Leave my house, go anywhere you want."

"Brother, why do you want me to go? I can still work, I will work harder, please don't abandon me," Uwa screamed.

Rick hardened his heart and turned to get in the car. Uwa pulled the car window and begged bitterly, "Brother, please don't abandon me!"

Rick started the car and drove a long way away. Uwa was still running behind at first, she ran and shouted, "Brother! Brother!"

When the car was getting faster and faster, she stopped desperately. Now she didn't know where to go, she sat on the ground blankly, hoping that Rick would change his mind and come back to pick her up. Unfortunately, it was more than four o'clock in the afternoon, and she still couldn't wait for the car. She was so hungry that her stomach growled, so she had to stand up, look in a direction, and walk forward.

This was a wilderness, surrounded by weeds. She walked and stopped, and walked very slowly. There was a mountain more than 300 meters away, and she wanted to find something to eat in the mountain. After walking for about ten minutes, she arrived at the foot of the mountain. At this time, a stream appeared in front of her. She happily ran over, squatted down, put her hands together as a water scoop, filled it with water, and drank a mouthful. She heard "Woof! Woof! Woof!" and turned her head to see a wild dog drinking water. The wild dog instinctively stepped back when it saw her. She murmured, "Why, do you think I'm ugly too?" The dog certainly didn't know what she was talking. Seeing that Uwa had no intention of approaching, it lowered its head and drank a few mouthfuls of water.

After Uwa finished drinking the water, she stood up and walked up the mountain. Not long after walking, she found some fruits on the ground. She picked them up and took a bite. There wasn't much flesh inside. The core was about the same size as the fruit, but it was sour and sweet and refreshing. The tree was called Marula. It is very tall. Usually, elephants shake the trunk to shake the fruits off, and then other animals share them. Therefore, it is also called "elephant fruit". Uwa didn't know this. The most important thing at the moment was to fill her stomach. She picked up and ate seven or eight of them. When she looked for more, they were gone. She continued to walk forward in disappointment.

The road on the mountain was not easy to walk on. She had to be careful of the sharp stones on the ground. After walking for nearly fifteen minutes, a cave appeared in front of her. There were some wild grasses growing outside the cave. The entrance was very small and only allowed one person to enter and exit. She approached carefully and stuck her head inside to find out what was going on. She was startled by the sound of "Awoo! Awoo!" from inside the cave. She turned around and ran away quickly because she could feel the threat and anger of this sound.

It was getting dark and she needed a place to sleep urgently. The cave was originally the best place to stay, but unfortunately, there were terrible animals living there. She looked up and glanced around, trying to find a bigger tree. There is always a way out. She actually found one. The tree was more than ten meters high and it took three adults to hug it in a circle. It was not easy to climb up. She tried again and again under the tree, but still failed. Finally, she had to give up.

She found some dry branches, piled them together, and took out the lighter. This was the one she used to light cigarettes for the restaurant guests, and it came in handy today. After lighting the branches, she lay down beside the fire. After lying down, she still felt hungry and tossed and turned and couldn't fall asleep.

"Woof! Woof!" She heard two "Woof" sounds, and she saw the wild dog drinking water again. Uwa was feeling bored alone, so she stood up and waved to the wild dog, but the wild dog did not move forward but retreated. She waved again and shouted, "Come here!" The wild dog still hesitated, and Uwa sighed and said to herself, "Why don't you come here again?" She lay down again, and when she was half asleep, she heard a rustling sound coming from far away, followed by the wolf's howl of "Awoo". She stood up in fright, and the wild dog in the distance also heard the sound, and it came to Uwa, but when it saw Uwa picking up the torch from the fire, it dared not get closer.

After a while, six wolves appeared in front of the woman and the dog. Uwa's fire attracted the wild dog and the wolves. The wolves approached slowly, and the wild dogs ran away in fear. Two wolves chased after them immediately, and the remaining four stared at Uwa. "Don't come over! I'm not tasty!" Uwa bent her waist, held a torch in her hand and made a defensive posture, shouting.

As soon as she finished speaking, the wolves pounced on her. She threw the torch in her hand in a hurry. The wolves were frightened and dared not come forward for a while. Taking this opportunity, she turned around and climbed up the tree. Perhaps it was the effect of adrenaline, this time she reached the tree in one go. Watching the wolves circling around the tree, Uwa felt a little relieved. She knew that these wolves couldn't get up. The wolves raised their heads and roared at her, unwilling to leave for a long time.

Uwa looked at her position and found that it was more than one meter long. The two branches of the tree could just fit her upper body, so she wouldn't fall down even if she fell asleep. The only drawback was that she was afraid of rain. After the shock just now, she felt sleepy and found a comfortable sleeping position to lie down. She fell asleep in a short while.

When she woke up, it was already the next morning. She was awakened by the sound of birds in the tree. She rubbed her eyes and looked down. The wolves had already left. Unexpectedly, she saw the wild dog again. It was sleeping under the tree. She was overjoyed and shouted, "I'm glad you're okay!" The wild dog heard the sound in the tree and stood up and wagged its tail happily at her.

Uwa got down from the tree and approached it. The wild dog did not hide, but stood quietly in place. When she approached, Uwa squatted down and gently stroked its head with her hand, "What's your name? Why are you alone too? Have you been abandoned by someone?" The dog did not understand human language and could only wag its tail vigorously.

Uwa sighed again and said, "I'm sorry! I can't afford to support you. I don't even know where to go," after expressing her feelings, she stood up and touched the two hundred shillings in her pocket, ready to go down the mountain.

She wanted to go home, but she was too young when she was kidnapped and had long forgotten where her home was. Now she could only wander around. After a night of terror last night, she found that the mountain was not as easy as she had imagined, and she could lose her life at any time. Going down the mountain, she might run into the wolf pack from last night, so she walked carefully.

When she looked back, she found that the wild dog was following her. "Don't follow me!" Uwa shouted at it. Unfortunately, the dog still followed her. Uwa wanted to shake it off, so she picked up a small stone on the ground and threw it at it. With a "bang", it hit the dog's head. The dog dared not follow her anymore and had to stop. Uwa took the opportunity to run down the mountain.

After going down the mountain, she walked for nearly an hour before she got out of the wilderness. At this time, there was a fork in the road. She didn't know which way to go. After standing for a few minutes, she saw a fat middle-aged woman passing by in front of her, and walked over to ask, "Madam, where can I eat?"

The fat woman did not respond, but just lowered her head and pointed forward, and then continued walking. Uwa followed her. The woman walked very slowly. The two walked one after the other for nearly five minutes, and then there was another fork in the road. "Madam, which way should I go?"

"What did you say?" the fat woman looked up and asked.

Uwa repeated her words, "Oh! Then you are going the wrong way. I am going home, the place to eat is in the town, which is the opposite direction."

Fortunately, Uwa has a good temper. If it were someone else, he or she  would have scolded her, "What were you pointing at just now? You made me go the wrong way." Uwa had to go back again, asked two more people, and finally found a restaurant.

When she went in, not long after she sat down, a man shouted to her, "Big Buffalo!"
