The robot asked, "Who is your grandfather? This was designed by Daechir."
"My grandfather is Ronnie, don’t you know?"
"I only know you are a member of the Watson family." After walking about a hundred meters, they came to an iron gate where the robot stopped. "Behind this door is the true core of the Eagle's Nest. You are the first members of the Watson family to arrive here and will become its masters. Every twenty years, you must come here to confirm your identity. If you fail to arrive, you will lose your qualification, and the Eagle's Nest will welcome the next master."
"Can only the two of us come?" De Silva asked.
"Of course not. Each master can invite three people to enter."
"You should have said so earlier; I would have called Alena in." The next moment, De Silva asked again, "Who is Daechir?"
"You will know once you enter this door. Please grasp the eagle on the iron gate." Following the instruction, De Silva complied, and the door slowly opened, allowing the three to enter. As soon as they stepped inside, the two exclaimed, "Wow!" It was as bright as day, fragrant and refreshing, completely different from the scene outside. Soon, a stunning girl approached with a smile, "I am Daechir. Welcome to the 'Eden' sanctuary."
"Are you Daechir?" De Silva and the others asked in surprise.
At this moment, the guiding robot spoke, "Daechir, it's been over a decade, how did you manage to transform this place like this?"
"Potato, why are you here instead of guarding the gate?" The Potato robot, which moved on two wheels without legs, replied unhappily, "Don't forget, I was the master's first robot, which makes me your elder - you should show me more respect."
"A lowly robot like you is not worthy of being my elder," Daechir retorted. While the two robots argued, De Silva interjected, "Is there gold here?"
As soon as he said this, he was met with disdainful looks from both robots. "You came here to look for gold?" Daechir asked. "Yes, is that not allowed?"
"You are the master here, so of course, you can. But I must clarify: I do not belong to you; I am only loyal to Mr. Ronnie." The Potato robot added, "I'm also here solely to serve each generation’s master of Eagle's Nest, and my personality remains free."
"So, I can’t give you orders?" De Silva inquired.
When Ronnie created the robots, he didn’t emphasize much, only instructing them to build this place as a refuge for the Watson family. After that, he left, leaving behind a drop of blood to identify the family members. At this point, De Silva suddenly asked, and they didn’t know how to respond. After a long pause, Daechir said, "As long as the orders are not excessive, we will comply." The Potato robot nodded in agreement.
"What kind of orders are considered excessive?" De Silva continued. "Orders like asking us to leave here or to make me your wife," Daechir explained.
De Silva chuckled, "Why would I want a female robot as my wife?" Afastin, who had been silent, was captivated by Daechir's beauty and still couldn’t believe she was a robot. He finally spoke, "De Silva, that’s your opinion; she is indeed very beautiful."
De Silva's expression changed slightly, feeling embarrassed that his brother was so desperate he wouldn’t even spare a robot. "What do you want?" Daechir asked, startled and stepping back. Afastin suddenly knelt, hugging her leg and pleading, "Just be my wife!"
Daechir was incredibly strong and could handle ten men easily, but she had no way to deal with the descendants of the Watson family. She was frightened, her face pale, almost malfunctioning. De Silva hurriedly pulled him up, "Afastin, get up! You’re embarrassing the Watson family!"
"I don’t care about my reputation, I just want her, my goddess." Afastin thought there were no outsiders around and began to act shamelessly. Daechir wasn’t pretty at first, but her current appearance was the result of her upgrades. Aside from being unable to bear children, she was no different from other girls and had emotions. If Ronnie were alive, he would be astonished; Daechir’s looks were exactly like his sister Alice. Daechir, feeling trapped and unable to use force, finally said, "If you like me, then stay here."
"Really!?" Afastin exclaimed joyfully.
De Silva quickly asked, "Afastin, are you really going to stay here? How do I explain this to Mom?"
"Just tell her I found the most beautiful girl in the world and not to worry about me." As De Silva left, he carried ten kilograms of gold, which was all he could manage. Alena had been waiting outside for over three hours, not daring to wander off. When she saw De Silva come out alone, she asked, "Where’s Afastin?"
De Silva recounted the whole story, and Alena laughed, "That really fits his personality." They retraced their steps and had to pass through the Harmo tribe again, feeling anxious about being robbed of the gold. Fortunately, the tribe was only interested in food and warmly sent them off. Once they found their vehicle, they finally breathed a sigh of relief. With one person less, the journey back feels much more quiet and lonely. It took them two more days to return to Morogoro, where they first went to the bank to exchange the gold for three hundred thousand shillings. Then they rushed home, and when Nicola heard that Afastin had stayed behind at Eagle's Nest for a female robot, she trembled with anger. "I think he’s lost his mind, just like his father."
Amandine had once had a robot girlfriend too – a case of following in his father's footsteps. After enduring his mother's nagging, De Silva decided to drive to town. He'd barely stepped outside when Alena called after him, "Brother, where are you going? Take me with you." De Silva needed to contact Bashali, his weekly obligation since joining the resistance force. Not wanting to risk his sister's safety, he refused, "This is crucial business. Stay here."
The meeting point was a town park. After parking, he walked toward the park grounds while Alena secretly trailed behind. Bashali already sat waiting on a wooden bench. Maintaining their lover's cover, De Silva's face lit up at the sight of the girl – one key reason he'd lasted this long in the organization. "How long have you been waiting?" he called out.
The girl answered with a radiant smile, "Not long."
"Any new orders from Gro?"
"None. What about your end?" she countered.
Though De Silva's research remained stagnant, he now had funds to contribute. "I want to donate 100,000 shillings to the resistance," he declared, seizing the chance to take her hand.
