She pressed the gun to the little girl's head and shouted to the guards, "I want to see your Chairman Ethan."
The little girl was Ethan's daughter. Five minutes later, someone came out, but it wasn't Ethan; it was Paitun. "Ma'am, state your terms."
"Who are you? What gives you the right to speak to me? I want to see Ethan."
"I'm the little girl's uncle. Do you think I have the right?"
"You've captured a friend of mine. I need you to release her!"
"Who is it? What's her name?"
"Her name is Daechir!"
Daechir? Paitun had almost forgotten the name. Hearing it now brought a flood of mixed emotions. "I agree!"
Yurina was surprised. She hadn't expected to achieve her goal so easily; it felt unreal. "Are you in a position to make that decision?"
"Of course, I am. I should have found a way to release her sooner," Paitun muttered, as if to himself.
Daechir was carried out. The two sides formally exchanged hostages. Seeing her from a distance, Yurina laughed and shouted, "Poor Kiki, you really failed. I had to come clean up the mess."
"Don't get cocky, Yurina. Things out here aren't as simple as you think." Paitun, his curiosity piqued by their conversation, interjected, "What exactly is your relationship?"
Daechir shot him a cold glance and cursed, "Filthy man!"
After receiving Daechir, Yurina didn't release the little girl. Instead, she told Paitun, "Filthy man, we'll release your niece once we're safe." Paitun became frantic. "That's not what we agreed upon. You must release her immediately." With a wave of his hand, soldiers swarmed forward, surrounding the three of them.
Yurina took three energy spheres from her pocket and tossed them to Daechir. "Looks like it's time for a massacre today?"
"You're still as cruel as ever. Did Shalu die at your hands?"
"That man was truly devoted. He was still asking me to save you before he died."
Just then, the little girl suddenly spoke up. "Uncle Paitun, tell them to back down. I'll go with them."
"Elsa, no, that's too dangerous." Daechir said viciously, "Paitun, get your men to back off now, or I'll kill this girl immediately. You know I'm capable of it."
"Daechir, don't go too far. I took a risk letting you go this time. One should be grateful."
"One..." Daechir began to count. "Two..."
"Alright! We'll back off." Paitun knew she was a robot and had no emotions. "That's more like it. You used to be too indecisive," Yurina praised.
The little girl whispered to the two women, "Sisters, please take me far away. I was just thinking about going out to play."
"Aren't you afraid of us?" Daechir asked.
"Why would I be afraid of two such beautiful sisters?"
"Which of us do you think is more beautiful?" The little girl looked at both of them. Daechir quickly stood up straight, struck a pose, and even flicked her hair, afraid of hurting her ranking. Yurina had Asian features, a well-proportioned figure, snow-white skin, and small eyes that revealed two dimples when she smiled, giving her the look of a cute girl. Daechir, on the other hand, had North American features and a sexier style. The little girl, being Thai, preferred Yurina's look but knew better than to offend either of them. "Both sisters are beautiful. You couldn't find a third person as pretty in all of Asia."
Yurina, who had always felt she wasn't as beautiful as Daechir and was ready with a rebuttal, was delighted to hear this. "You're quite the smooth talker!"
Daechir was slightly disappointed; she would have preferred a clear winner. Seeing the three of them laughing and talking, Paitun frowned and shouted, "Hurry up and go! And remember to tell me your address." The little girl walked off holding Yurina's hand, looking affectionate. Paitun shook his head with a wry smile, feeling somewhat relieved. "Sisters, where are we going to play?" the little girl asked. Daechir looked down at her dusty clothes. "I want to buy some clothes first."
"Okay! I'll take you. I know this area well," the little girl exclaimed, clapping her hands.
The three entered a high-end boutique called "Madame Waugh's Fashion House." A saleswoman rushed over when she saw the little girl. "Elsa, why didn't your mother come?" The little girl pointed to Daechir and Yurina. "I brought two beautiful sisters to buy clothes today. You must take good care of them. My mother will pay the bill."
The saleswoman immediately turned her attention to the two women, enthusiastically introducing items. "This is a hand-painted dress, 100% mulberry silk, the most popular style this year."
Another assistant brought over an outfit. "This olive-green T-shirt paired with these yellow shorts is also very beautiful." The first saleswoman said disapprovingly, "Your outfit is just cheap cotton. How can it compare to mine?" Daechir ignored them and walked away on her own. Yurina was more decisive, taking almost everything she liked. An hour later, she was carrying a large bag full of clothes. Daechir had only chosen two items. The little girl saw how little she had. "Sister, why don't you pick a few more?"
"Clothes I can't wear are just trash to me." After leaving the store, Yurina asked, "What do we do now?"
"Nine Stars United took my invisibility cloak. I need to find a way to get it back." The little girl chimed in, "I know who has it."
"Who?" Daechir asked, pleasantly surprised.
"My Aunt Nandi. She even let me wear it once. It was truly magical."
"Do you know where she is now?"
The little girl shook her head. "She hasn't been home for two months. I don't know."
"Then we'll just take our time and look. We have nothing else to do anyway!" Yurina said.
"No, I need to go to Zi City to find someone."
"Your boyfriend?"
"The person who lent me the cloak. A descendant of the Watson family."
"Then he's my descendant too!"
Daechir chuckled. "Father only created you to commemorate his wife. Do you really think you're human?"
"Ronnie liked me! He never treated me like a robot!" Yurina screamed.
"Then why did he lock you in an iron box?"
"He must have been afraid of falling in love with me! That must be it." Daechir sneered, "Do you believe that reason yourself?" Yurina was furious, her eyes blazing. "Daechir, I saved you, and this is how you treat me?" She then began to sob. The little girl saw her crying heartbrokenly. "Sister, don't cry. Ronnie must have locked you up to protect you, afraid you would get hurt."
"Yes, that must be it. He loves me!" Daechir couldn't help but recall something Ares had said: "The greatest fear of a robot is forgetting it's a robot." Only now did she understand the true meaning of that sentence.
