Returning to the year 2404, when Ares was just born, Daechir implanted an "Intelligence Chip" in him. Two years later, she received a time call from her father. At that time, Ronnie was on his deathbed and had begun arranging his affairs. He asked Daechir to create a human vessel for him; he would store his consciousness in a chip and then merge it with the vessel. After hanging up, Daechir immediately started preparations. She had originally intended to create a robot similar to herself, but after hundreds of experiments, she failed. She then turned her attention to humans, and the young Ares became her test subject. During the experiment, she discovered a problem: Ares's body was aging rapidly, a severe form of progeria. Without timely treatment, he would not live past fifteen. Daechir tried many methods to slow his aging and eventually invented a mask. This mask could immobilize his muscles, but it also stopped his height from increasing. Her plan was to take his body to Ronnie as a vessel after Ares's consciousness faded, using a time machine. Unfortunately, many things happened later, and this task remained unfulfilled to this day. Daechir could see that Ares had lost his consciousness; all his actions were now driven solely by the chip. She had a strong urge to go and save Ronnie. Eagle's Nest had a time machine, but she didn't know if it was still usable after all this time. For now, she could only take it one step at a time, starting with restoring her body, Daechir thought. Having figured this out, she shouted, "If you want to find the gold, you must first learn to survive here."
"There's nothing here. How can we live?" the man asked.
"The Garden of Eden once housed over a hundred people. How could it not support a few of us?"
The group immediately began to tidy up. Daechir had Kit take her to the laboratory. After a thorough inspection, she found that most of the equipment was unusable and would need to be repaired, which required money. Just as she was racking her brain, Sonita ran over, panting, "A woman with only half a body has come into the cave!"
Daechir exclaimed, "It's Yurina! How did she get here too?"
"Yes, she seems to call herself Yurina."
The two of them rushed back to the Garden of Eden. As soon as they appeared, a woman's voice called out, "Daechir, you're back here too! This is wonderful!"
"You dare to call my name? If you hadn't thrown me into the sea back then, I wouldn't have ended up like this." Yurina said with a smile, "It's been decades, and you still remember that. What a petty person."
"Nonsense! Do you know how much I suffered to get back here?" Daechir shouted, but her heart was happy. Yurina was more trustworthy to her; with her here, she could stand again even without Kit and the others.
Back then, Yurina had failed to find Ronnie in You City and had to ask Johnny to take her to Africa. The two searched for over a week near Eagle's Nest but couldn't find the entrance; all the passages were either sealed or built over. Johnny grew impatient, clamoring to go back and stop searching. Yurina, having arrived, also wanted to shake off this man. One night, while he was fast asleep, she quietly left without saying goodbye. Two days later, she finally found the entrance by Lake Turkana. When she arrived at the Garden of Eden, she saw Sonita and her parents at a glance. "Who are these people? Why did you bring them here?" Yurina asked, pointing at Kit and the others.
"Idiot, without them leading the way, could I have gotten back here?"
"Haha! I forgot you only have a head." After a pause, Yurina continued, "So? Is our previous agreement still valid?"
"What agreement?" Daechir deliberately asked back.
"You helping me build my lower body. To be honest, I've looked for Ronnie. He has left the city-state. Now we can only rely on ourselves."
"It's 2660 now. He probably went to the Pampas grasslands in South America. Of course, you couldn't find him."
"No wonder. I have no memory of that."
"What are you two talking about? I don't understand," Kit interjected.
Yurina was annoyed at being interrupted. "You brat, hand over the head you're holding and get lost."
"On what grounds? This is my family's treasure," Kit said, taking a step back.
The couple, however, stepped forward, blocking Kit. They didn't want this woman of unknown origin to snatch the treasure that was almost within their grasp. The atmosphere instantly became tense. Daechir hadn't expected to become a piece of meat fought over by both sides. A sense of pride welled up inside her; she hadn't felt this way since losing her body. She enjoyed the process, so she remained silent. Yurina was alone and felt intimidated by their aggressive posture. Sonita, feeling sorry for her, stepped forward and said, "Ma'am, don't be afraid. As long as you don't try to take our things, we won't hurt you."
"I'm not afraid of you! This is my territory." Just as the two sides were in a standoff, a sound came from not far away. Yurina turned her head and her face turned pale with fright. From a dark corner, a small figure was walking over, holding a dried corpse. She had only seen Ares once, briefly, and had no strong impression, so she didn't recognize him. The corpse in the small figure's arms was naked, looking light and flimsy, like a piece of dried, salted fish. Daechir reminded her from behind, "Yurina, that's Ares."
"Ares? Which Ares?"
"Father's vessel."
Yurina finally remembered and then asked, "Then who is he holding in his arms?"
"It should be that little girl named Hill from back then. It looks like she died very young."
"How do you know?"
"You can tell by her hair. I just don't understand why Ares is still holding her. Could it be that he's still conscious?" If Ares was still conscious, he couldn't be turned into a vessel; doing so would be tantamount to killing him. Just then, a "woof" was heard, and a robot dog ran out from the darkness, carrying a small sphere in its mouth. Yurina exclaimed with joy, "It's an energy sphere! Excellent!"
This was what interested her most at the moment. She immediately pushed off with her hands and flew towards it. Unfortunately, someone beat her to it and snatched the sphere from the dog's mouth. Yurina's face was filled with rage as she roared, "Give it to me!"
The man was the one who had snatched the sphere. He felt that there were treasures everywhere here, and perhaps this sphere was very valuable, so he grabbed it first. Seeing Yurina's anxiety, he became even more certain. "Give it to me, now!" Yurina shouted again.
"Why should I give it to you?" the man retorted, not backing down.
Daechir felt it was necessary for her to speak up. "This energy sphere is useless to humans. You can't use it even if you have it."
"What is it for?" Sonita asked.
"It's for replenishing the energy of robots. With it, we can move," Daechir explained.
